November 21 2008: Samantha Pleet's first store opens.
The mystical surroundings were designed by Architect Patrick (Pleet) McGovern, complete with crypt-like crevices and glowing, illuminated podiums
displaying both Samantha and Patrick Pleet clothing alongside vintage fashions and curiosities hand selected by Samantha in Paris and elsewhere.
The Samantha Pleet pop-up store will also feature designs from Pleet's friends and contemporaries: Jewelry by Pamela Love and a belt collaboration
between Samantha and Dirty Librarian Chains called Samantha goes to the Library, which will be sold exclusively at the shop.
There are also accessories by Kendi and Yana Bags, prints by William Latta and jewel-encrusted skulls
by Natasha Laws sold alongside Samantha's favorite films, books, and music bringing color to the dark white space.
